Startup Grind Scotland are delighted to be celebrating black leaders throughout the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Who better to invite than the person who launched Startup Grind in Scotland over 6 years ago, helping grow the ecosystem to what it is today. Phin's commitment to helping entrepreneurs was recognised in 2016 by the Centre for Entrepreneurs and led to a feature in The Maserati 100 list.
Startup Grind Glasgow are thrilled to be hosting Phin Mpofu, the person who brought Startup Grind to Scotland, first launching it in Edinburgh, then Glasgow six months later and for a short period also hosting events in Aberdeen. He's since gone on to support entrepreneurs globally, rising to the role of Director of Community & Partnership Success after heading up the Community team for a number of years.
We'll be discussing learning from failures, building a community from nothing and what it means to be a Black Leader in the UK today.
