What you need to know:

Who: Christopher Stafford

When: Wednesday 30th October 2019

Time: 6pm

Where: CMS, 1 W Regent St, Glasgow G2 1AP

Having done a Philosophy degree at university, Chris started out the journey into tech working for the short-lived banking giant HBOS, gaining exposure to a range of technologies, helping transform the bank's branches to browser-based systems, and introducing real-time marketing.

This led him to a Masters in Artificial Intelligence from Edinburgh University. There he met the two other co-founders of Groopit which, through the twists and pivots of start-up life, led them through Hubdub and onto Fanduel.

Chris headed up technology as Fanduel grew from the five founders to a team of 200 based across Scotland and the US. He architected the technology stack, and hired and led the team as the product grew from a single game with a few dozen users into a multi-sport platform which supports millions of users across a range of games today.

Join us at CMS Glasgow offices for this incredible Heroku Product and Engineering Month event to hear more about how to architect a technology stack, growing products, plus building and leading teams.
