About this event

John McGlynn founded his first business as a hobby whilst at university studying accounts, then law at Strathclyde. Having opened and acquired other businesses, Airlink Group is now the largest Scottish car parking owner and one of the largest private property groups in Scotland. The Groups’ main activity is commercial property, specialising in off airport properties. Current projects include a 25 acre airport business park, as well as an 8 acre business park close to the 2014 Commonwealth Games site in Glasgow.  The most recent divisions of the company are Storage Box that specialises in document storage and management, Storage Vault, the self-storage arm, and Scottish Capital Partners the groups new Private Equity arm. John is a founding Director of the Entrepreneurial Exchange in London, was Vice Chairman of IAPRA, The Independent Airport Park and Ride Association. Chairman of the sister organisation in Scotland, and a member of the Business School Council, at Strathclyde University. John is former Vice Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Exchange in Scotland. In 2009 the First Minister of Scotland appointed John as an Ambassador to Business Club Scotland and asked him to serve on the National Economic Forum. He was also appointed as Travel Envoy and Business Ambassador to Glasgow Airport.
