In Scotland Amy delivers the annual Tech Innovator in the UK competition, showcasing the best of Scotland’s tech scene; she shares her insights on venture capital via KPMG’s quarterly Venture Pulse Report, and supports various organisations in the entrepreneurial space. Amy previously ran business accelerator hubs in Scotland supporting hundreds of early stage start-ups, and lived and worked in the Middle East. Amy had two small children with boundless energy who keep her occupied when she’s not working! Helena Di Biase - CoFounder & Managing Partner at Raising Partners Helena is co-founder and Managing Partner of Raising Partners - the Glasgow-based investment firm guiding startups through each step of their fundraising process, and Raising Partners Angels - an angel syndicate that invests in companies making a positive impact on people, processes and the planet. After experiencing first-hand the dangers of poor advice when raising capital, Helena founded Raising Partners in 2017 to level the investment playing field and demystify the fundraising process. Since inception, the firm has worked with over 175 companies and raised over £60 million in funding. David Yeary - Scottish Development International (San Jose, CA) David has over 30 years of experience within a variety of industries including emerging business and technologies, life science and healthcare, software, gaming, and entertainment. David has worked with and led teams with Pfizer, Merrill Corp and Morgan Lewis & Bockius as well as advised many small companies and organizations such as Ghostbot, Inc., STATegics, SPARK group, QB3 and VC Taskforce. David currently works with Scottish Development International (SDI) as Vice President Science and Technology Trade Group within the San Jose team in the United States.
