Alistair is a highly experienced entrepreneur and investor in start-up and growth stage software businesses and in recent years has also become increasingly involved in Tech for Good initiatives. He is based in Edinburgh and has led businesses that have scaled across Europe, North America and ANZ. He spent 12 years leading a business that ultimately reached $100M ARR and was acquired in 2016 by a US-based infrastructure company for $500m. In addition to his experience as an operator, Alistair has been an active private investor and spent 2 years as Investment Director with a UK-wide VC investment firm, Mercia Asset Management. Most recently, Alistair was a Founding Director of the Scottish Tech Army, a volunteer-based initiative to harness the skills of the Scottish Tech sector to support organisations seeking to use digital solutions in dealing with the Covid-19 crisis and its after-effects.
