Successful people have great self-belief. Steve Jobs, Serena Williams & Elon Musk are just a few highly successful individuals who benefited greatly from this confidence. However, it’s not their levels of success that is inspiring. It’s their willingness to get up again and again when faced with adversity while in pursuit of creating the life of their dreams. This is a characteristic that this month's speaker has.
Suhit Amin, 18, is a Young Entrepreneur and Founder of Saulderson Media. In February 2018, aged 16, he was diagnosed with Stage 2A Hodgkin Lymphoma, a cancer that attacks the lymph nodes.
In between rounds of aggressive chemotherapy and being Deputy Head Boy at Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow, he achieved six grade As in his Scottish Highers. In this time Suhit was working in influencer marketing at ESL, the world’s biggest esports company, however, his illness motivated him to do something bigger and pursue his entrepreneurial passions. Instead of letting his diagnosis bring him down he channelled it into his ambitions – to be a successful entrepreneur. His mindset was that, if he wasn’t alive in a years’ time, he would want to go out doing something big and what he loves.
In July 2018 he launched Saulderson Media, a premium talent management and influencer marketing agency based in Scotland. They are exclusively managing a roster of high profile social influencers who are responsible for millions of monthly impressions. Alongside this they work with endemic and non-endemic, brands on creative campaigns, to boost their presence utilising an extensive list of influencers for activation. Saulderson Media has a specific focus on the gaming and esports industry but is also heavily involved with tech and entertainment influencers. The fledgling firm has become very successful in a short time – becoming a 6 figure agency in less than 6 months of startup.
