He co-founded RedEye in 2012, a QLD founded technology company providing cloud-based data management and digital engineering. RedEye has offices in Brisbane, US, New Zealand and Asia, and has raised $10.4 million in Series B funding and has around 100 employees. Wayne is a key leader in Queensland’s innovation ecosystem and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the newly appointed role in June 2021 from the Queensland government as the fourth Queensland's Chief Entrepreneur. In 2015, he was named Queensland Entrepreneur of the Year, and has served at the Council of Governors in AmCham Australia, board member at StartUpAus, and QLD Premier’s Business Advisory Committee.
