About this event

Born with the entrepreneurial spirit, Erik Gatenholm is a serial entrepreneur and CEO/Co-Founder of CELLINK. Founded in January of 2016, this 3D Bioprinting solutions company went from nothing to Nasdaq in just 10 months.

Now a little over a year later since their IPO, CELLINK has customers in over 40 countries and in 400+ labs around the world. World renowned research institutions and companies such as Harvard, MIT, Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Toyota are only a handful of CELLINK’s customers.

Gatenholm was recently listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 due to his accomplishments both as an entrepreneur and with CELLINK.

After spending several years living in the US, Gatenholm moved to Sweden in 2014 to complete his MBA at Gothenburg University, focusing on the commercialization of biotechnology startups. After meeting Dr. Hector Martinez at Chalmers University in late 2014, they begun to work to commercialize the biomaterial innovation behind CELLINK.

Gatenholm and Martinez realized the potential for the new biomaterial as a printable material and founded the company CELLINK to provide bioinks to the 3D printing field. CELLINK is now a global leader in producing bioinks and manufacturing cost effective 3D bioprinters. CELLINK has been featured in BBC, Tech Crunch, Business Insider, The Guardian and several other top tier media outlets due to their technology and what scientist have been able to accomplish with it.

Come enjoy a fun evening with Erik Gatenholm and learn how his entrepreneurial journey has taken him to new heights!
