ABOUT FAILURE LAB

WHY FAILURE LAB - SHE?

Women leaders have a unique relationship with failure. In order to change the status quo, we must dive deep within ourselves, deliberately support one another, and find spaces & communities where we can be seen, celebrated, & nourished.

FAILURE LAB'S TARGET AUDIENCE

Failure Lab Training believes that curriculum is the map and the facilitator is the guide. The learning happens in the group interaction.

This program is designed to be a space of community for women in executive, director-level, and upper-level management positions.

The program is open globally and facilitated concurrently by teams in Grand Rapids, MI, USA, and Melbourne, Australia.

ABOUT OUR GUESTS

In this Fireside Chat, we'll hear and learn from:

Anna Baeten, Partner & COO

Anna has an extensive background in entrepreneurship, organizational scaling, management training & development, and systems architecture.

Anna holds a bachelor of science degree in Biomedical Sciences and a bachelor of arts degree in Professional & Applied Ethics, both from Western Michigan University, and sees her educational journey as evidence of the value of a liberal arts education.

Anna also works as COO & Managing Director for Ktisis Capital, a strategic advisor to a mix of progressive individual donors, families, foundations, and philanthropic collaboratives.

Chrissy Heyne, Director of Corporate Training

For the past 15 years, Chrissy has worked on leadership development at Teach For America, coaching and developing others towards making a bold impact for change.

She is known for building relationships and strong team culture as a means to advancing work and meeting ambitious outcomes. She does not believe collaboration, problem-solving, genuine feedback, powerful coaching, or failing forward can happen without this.

Chloe Beevers, Failure Lab - SHE Facilitator

A sense of purpose to ‘connect and develop communities’ has guided Chloe's journey. Her purpose, or ‘ikigai’, is the synergy of not only what she is paid for; it is equally what she is good at, what she loves and what the world needs. Any role, opportunity or innovation throughout her career has been chosen for its alignment toward a shared vision.

Chloe is the facilitator of the Failure Lab - SHE cohort that's originating in Australia.

ABOUT THE TOPIC

  • Why is talking about failure so hard? What are common definitions so we can be sure we're talking the same language?
  • How do we "crush the stigma of failure" and appropriately tell our story of failure?
  • Why is it important to center women in the conversation?
  • Failure hurts my body. Hurts my mind. How can I recognize what's happening on a physical and mental level?
  • How do we take control? How do we move past buzzwords and realize a better-performing team?

Join us for what promises to be an insightful conversation!!
