Out of college, Andres had two offers: Join Intel as a researcher, and receive a fully-funded master's degree scholarship, or join a scrappy 5-person startup with no revenue or proven track-record. He chose the startup. One decade later, they were acquired. A successful, if bittersweet, end to a journey for which they were completely unprepared for, and are deeply grateful for.
Responsible for re-aligning the product and engineering teams to better support the business. Negotiated with the leadership team to address competing priorities, reaching mutual commitments and goodwill. Worked with a strategic technical consultant to implement operational, process and architectural changes to both cut expenses and improve efficiency.
Worked with the CEO and CFO to prepare the company for the acquisition by OutMatch. Acted as the link between the company's US and Mexican entities. Supported the due diligence process as related to the technical capabilities and characteristics of the product, along with the team that built it. Helped resolve sticking points during the negotiation process.
Post-acquisition, worked with senior management at OutMatch to define the new organizational structure and transition the support, operations, product and technology teams in Guadalajara. Facilitated meetings and communication between teams to adopt new processes and obtain internal buy-in. Provided direction and context on the legal, cultural, and economic differences on staffing beween the US and Mexico. Worked with the technology leadership team to consolidate processes and vendors, to take advantage of cost-reducing opportunities. Collaborated with finance and operations to move the Guadalajara office to a more strategic location, to support the company's hiring efforts.

Martin Moscosa is a product and community leader with a background in tech and education. He was the director of the Academy at Wizeline, Mexico's leading startup, where he developed tech programs and partnerships to create advanced generations of technologists in the emerging markets in Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand.
At Tec de Monterrey -LatAm's leading technical University and among the best 160 in the world and ranked as top 5 in LinkedIns Top Attractors list- Martin was able to inspire younger generations to aim for greater opportunities by rekindling the relationship with top tech companies such as Microsoft, Google and Facebook among others and increasing by over 200% the number of students applying and landing a job in such companies. Also inspired students to pursue their dreams through entrepreneurship.
Prior to his corporate life, Martin was an entrepreneur with startup Epicnest one of the first tech coworking spaces in Guadalajara, going from 178sqmt (583sqft) to over 1,000sqmt (3,300sqft) in less than a year. A thriving space that has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs and startups in the past years to kickstart their projects.
In his free time, he runs Startup Grind in Guadalajara one of the biggest startup communities in the world -with prescence in over 600 cities and 125 countries - supported by Google for Startups. Martin has connected and inspired over 4,000 members locally; through his network, he has invited and made connections with key members in the ecosystem such as Santiago Zavala (500 Startups), Gabriel Charles (Wayra), Jose Rodriguez (Bitso) and others.
Photography and Video editing are some of his hobbies, he is a cat person who is always up for a cup of coffee or tea looking to help others.
