This is only the beginning for Valuelink, and at the press ceremony, Jerry Gan revealed the strategy and innovations that will take this $500 million company to new levels, competing with Alibaba and Tencent.
After spending years in the west–Silicon Valley and Berlin–Jerry realized the value in a distributed structure of doing business. Applying Silicon Valley startup culture to a Chinese corporation isn't the usual move–but it worked out for Valuelink, solving many of our main bottlenecks. Jerry realized the power and potential of uniting western entrepreneurial drive and innovation with Chinese capital and resources is the path forward for the company. Jerry created a "special economic zone" –Shenzhen in miniature within his business – for employees to experiment and tackle ambitious problems.
