This month we are hosting Djoann Fal of GetLinks - a curated technology talent marketplace for Asia. He is an awardee of 30 Under 30 Asia 2018 in Enterprise Technology category with CMO, Polpat Songthamjitti. This Bangkok-based startup has raised the latest venture round from Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, and JobsDB's parent company, SEEK Ltd., to expand from South East Asia to the Greater Bay Area.

Djoann co-founded GetLinks in January 2015. A visionary, start-up guru and proud geek, Djoann is passionate about driving impact and meaningful change in the tech ecosystem. As CEO of GetLinks, he oversees operations across 6 countries, leading a team of over 80 people.
Djoann has previously worked as Regional Digital Marketing Executive at Rocket Internet GmBH. Prior to, he served as Marketing Consultant in EY Shanghai.
Djoann is a Kairos Fellow, selected to be part of Kairos K50, with 50 most innovative seed-stage companies founded by young entrepreneurs worldwide. He is the Regional Lead for networking event Drinkentrepreneurs across Asia. Djoann is also a founding member of La Pailliase, Europe’s largest biohacking and open-science space.
Djoann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from EEMI and a Masters in Management from ESC.

His first company, GetLinks generated multi-million dollars of revenue and got funded by Alibaba, JobsDB’s and SCG. Earning him a spot on Forbes 30 under 30.

As CEO of GetLinks, funded by Alibaba, SEEK (ASX:SEEK), New World Group (HKG:17) and 500 Startups, he supervised operations across 6 countries, leading a team of 17 nationalities over 100+ employees.
Recently, GetLinks acquired several companies making GetLinks become a Group Holding of several entities supporting not only technology hiring (HR Tech) but also technology education (Ed Tech) and flexible staffing, Djoann now acts as Strategy & Development officer of this group overseeing the managing directors of each entity while also be more involved in the development of Adaptivity, the new operating system for lifelong learning of the group, helping 500,000 users to learn the skillsets of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
Djoann has previously worked as a Regional Digital Marketing Executive at Rocket Internet GmBH for Lazada — Acquired by Alibaba in 2016. Prior to, he served as Marketing Consultant in EY Shanghai.
While studying Masters in Management at ESCP Europe in Paris, Djoann co-founded La Paillasse, Europe’s largest maker space. Today Djoann keeps close relationships with the technology, hacker and maker space community across US, Europe & Asia.
Djoann has been the Regional Organiser for a technology networking event operating in 12 cities across Asia & supporter of Angelhack, the largest hackathon & developer community in the US.
Since 2015, Djoann has been selected as Kairos Fellow, an organization supported by Rockefeller Family, Richard Branson & Bill Clinton to support the most innovative entrepreneurs below 25 years old.
In 2017, Djoann got awarded by Kairos K50 in New York Stock Exchange with 50 most innovative tech companies solving social impact challenges founded by young entrepreneurs worldwide, endorsed by Richard Branson.
In 2018, Djoann got awarded by Forbes 30 Under 30 for the most innovative entrepreneurs of the year for the enterprise solutions category.
In 2019 Djoann got in the New York Times and CNBC mentioning GetLinks were solving the technology recruiting problem in Asia with its marketplace.
In 2020, Djoann released his first book, the Adaptive Economy. Technology disruption, climate change and other energy & political challenges towards 2030. A lot of variables entrepreneurs and corporate businesses will need to adapt to. In his book, Djoann provides a simple compass of tech opportunities & booming industries for corporate leaders investors and private equity hoping to adapt and thrive in the Future of Work.

Jay is an active supporter of the start-up ecosystem in Asia and frequently consults with leaders in local government on topics related to technology, entrepreneurship, investing and startups. Jay is also the founder and author of Hack Your Fitness the complete fitness & lifestyle solution for busy professionals and entrepreneurs. He works with world-class athletes and other high performers to help them achieve fitness results that are sustainable for life. Originally from the Bay Area, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a minor in in Information Systems Technology and is an approved Responsible Officer for SFC Type 9 regulated activities.
