In conjunction with RISE, we will host a panel discussion called “How To Fund Your Startup” at Campfire KT, together with our guest moderator Jay Kim. We will feature panelists, among them Cody Shirk, Kyle Ellicott, Edith Yeung, and Chris McCann, from a diverse background ranging from traditional VC, to crowdfunding to ICO funding and discuss the various methods of startup fund-raising.

Jay Kim (The Jay Kim Show)
Jay is a full time investor, entrepreneur and host of The Jay Kim Show, Hong Kong’s first dedicated podcast on entrepreneurship and investing in Asia. Inc. Magazine has named The Jay Kim Show one of the top three podcasts from Asia which are inspirational and useful to entrepreneurs. Jay currently serves as Managing Director of LST Capital Partners, a Hong Kong based SFC-licensed investment advisor.
Cody Shirk (Explorer Equity Group)
Cody is an explorer, surfer, and a co-founder/partner of Explorer Equity Group. He travels and invests around the world, sourcing hidden and hard to access investment opportunities.
Kyle Ellicott (ReadWrite Labs)
Kyle is the Co-Founder of ReadWrite and Chief Labs Officer of ReadWrite Labs, a San Francisco-based company dedicated to creating the social fabric for businesses around wearables and the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. He’s advised over 175 companies and successfully raised over $130 million in venture funding.
Edith Yeung (500 Startups)
Selected by Inc’s Magazine as one of the Silicon Valley investors you must know, Edith Yeung is a partner at 500 Startups. She has invested in over 40 mobile, VR, AR, AI and machine learning startups including Hooked, DayDayCook, Fleksy (acquired by Pinterest), Human (acquired by Mapbox), AISense, Penrose, Cryworks, SIlk Labs, Piper, Apptopia, Mobile Action, Andy OS, Quickly, Powercore, Pack, Ingrain, Switch, Bento, DayDayCook, Palantir, etc. Advisor to Dolphin Browser (Acquired by CYOU), and founding partner at RightVentures.
Chris McCann (Greylock Partners)
Chris leads the community program at Greylock Partners, former co-founder of StartupDigest (acquired by Techstars), and early advisor for the Thiel Fellowship & StartX at Stanford University.
