About this event

On November 14-16, Tech Entrepreneurship and innovation development center of Ilia State University as part of the international project DigiEduHack will host "DIGIEDUHACK 2025: Rethinking education in the age of digital skills" 


The project is implemented within the framework of the EIT's (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) Digital Education Action Plan. DigiEduHack is an EU initiative that aims to foster grassroots innovation, collaboration and creativity and to drive positive change in digital education.DigiEduHack has been actively running since 2019, uniting teams from participating countries across Europe and beyond to create a better future for education.


The hackathon encourages participants to develop interesting solutions and create prototypes on educational themes. The winning team of the local hackathon will have the opportunity to present their idea to the DigiEduHack international jury. Finally, several global winning teams will be selected based on a voting principle, and they will have the chance to win a trip to attend the main DigiEduHack event.

Who can participate? 

Representatives from various fields aged 16 and over: students, teachers, High schoolers,entrepreneurs, innovators, and anyone interested in digital education.

Themes Within the hackathon, participants will work on innovative ideas that promote the development of education through digital technologies. The goal of the projects is to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge, increase inclusivity, and respond to modern challenges. Accordingly, the following directions will be offered around this theme:

  • Digital inclusion and accessibility of education

  • Cybersecurity and digital ethics in education

  • Innovations for professional development

  • Interactive learning

  • Data-driven teaching and assessment

Considering these directions, participants can work on innovative solutions in various formats: create mobile or web applications, intelligent platforms, systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) or data analysis. It is also possible to develop educational game prototypes, use VR/AR technologies, or blockchain mechanisms in education.

In addition to the suggested themes, participants will have the freedom of choice โ€“ they can work on any other technological idea that relates to the theme of education.

Is registration individual or group-based? 

Participants can register either individually or as a group. Creating a group or adding members will be possible before the event starts or on its first day. The minimum number of group members is 2, and the maximum is 5. (In case of group registration, one representative from the team fills out the application, indicating the contact information for all members in the form).

Is knowledge of English necessary? 

It is necessary for at least one member of the team to know English, as each participating team must submit their idea on the official DigiEduHack page.
