Satish is an accomplished business executive with 30+ years engineering and management experience in the Computer Information systems and Communications fields. As an effective business & marketing strategist with extensive experience in both U.S. national and international arenas, he now coaches’ startups in the areas of process of ideation, strategy, directional growth and general product management (technology-based solutions development).
He has previously started two companies in the Ed-tech, Healthcare technology space and taken them through successful exits. He had earlier held mid-level management positions in engineering, marketing and product management at Digital Equipment Corporation, Ascend Communications, Nexabit Networks (startup) & Lucent Technologies all in the United States.
His first company founded in 2010, iHASMD, a SaaS based tele-health company developed products from ideation to product release in record time that he helped launch in the US market and in the APAC theater with a partner. The company’s product HealthKonnect™ was designed for doctors to provide Primary Care by Creating Value-Add Diagnostic & Urgent care Services through Telemedicine in the Boston area. It was acquired by AMD Telemedicine Inc. in the year 2012. He was instrumental in creating the early market segmentation and targeting strategy for this company and led the company through its most rapid growth phase; achieving major milestones prior to acquisition.
Satish is currently a co-founder of Intuitive Inventions, a vehicle for evaluating early-stage companies for incubation and investment opportunities. He co-developed a startup "bootcamp" course at the MIT Sloan school and now runs an online academy for entrepreneurs.
His current startup investments are in Edvey, Pragya Systems, Seceon & 3DES (seed stage) He holds an MBA from Rivier University, Nashua, NH and completed the executive program on entrepreneurship from the Harvard Business School (HBS), Cambridge, MA. He currently lives with his wife & daughter in Chelmsford, MA & enjoys coaching budding entrepreneurs at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, Harvard iLabs, Boston ENET and other area incubators that foster entrepreneurship in the Boston area.
