Charles Johnson founded Pause Commercials in 2017; they deliver customized video and display “pause ads” across premium over-the-top (OTT) environments, such as streaming services.
In early September, the US Patent and Trademark Office issued a patent to Pause Commercials, Inc. proprietary tech for pausing ads in the over-the-top media space. The company's tech is currently available for instream iOS, Android, and web advertising, and will be available on CTV platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and Samsung in first quarter 2021.
