Big tech companies are pouring tens of billions of dollars into research on artificial intelligence; how can small startups hope to leverage AI to compete effectively?
A survey conducted by the Harvard Business Review shows a competitive market for startups, but also a market that is restricted in some important ways.
Large tech firms have several advantages over startups: they can invest huge sums into R&D, they have access to large amounts of data, and they have complementary assets and established markets. However, it is not the quantity of the data, but how a company uses it, that provides the competitive advantage; thus, startups utilizing AI can compete with larger companies even without enormous data sets and billions of dollars to work with.
theDevMasters will be providing a workshop on how to scale your startup utilizing AI, deep learning, and data driven decision making.
