Başak Taşpınar Değim's Career

Başak Taşpınar Değim who was born in 1978, graduated from Boğaziçi University with Civil Engineering degree in 2000. She received an MBA degree from Koç University and MSIMC master's degree from Chicago Loyola University. she went into the business world as a marketing expert at the Morgan Stanley office in Chicago. She continued her career at ACNielsen Bases as senior research analyst. Then in 2007, she had worked as a product manager at Revlon in New York. In 2010, she had worked as brand manager for Tat and Sek brand of Koç Holding.

She left her corporate career in 2011 and launched the story of entrepreneurship with full of success. She founded Armut that has currently more than 300,000 professional hosting, monthly traffic of over 2 million and customer satisfaction to 98% of Turkey's largest online service platform. Armut, which has a team of 80 people from 6 different nationalities, conducts its operations in USA, UK, Egypt, Romania and Saudi Arabia with their global brand HomeRun; and also they are providing a service specialized in the transport field with Rahat Taşın as a sub-brand in Turkey. Armut was selected by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list of Turkey's fastest growing technology company in 2017, also in the European Technology Fast 500 list,  it was 40th fastest growing company in the Middle East and Africa. Armut also took place among the 10 fastest growing companies in 2018.

Başak Taşpınar Değim, who won several awards during her career, was awarded with the Women Entrepreneur of the Year ’award at the Business People of the Year award by Ekonomist magazine in 2018. Also, she was won Technology Leader of the year at the Distinctive Woman Awards organized by MediaCat.

Başak Taşpınar Değim is married and has two children.
