Oğuz Alper Öktem graduated from VKV Koç Private Primary School in 2005. Oğuz Alper Öktem graduated from VKV Koç Private Primary School in 2005. Due to his success in High School Entrance Exam held in the same year, he was entitled to study at VKV Koç Private High School with a full boarding scholarship. Since then, the financial dimension of his education has been financed by Kıraca Foundation and Vehbi Koç Foundation. Throughout his high school years, he focused on mathematics lessons. At the same time, he was closely interested in the student union, won several elections and chaired the term. In addition, it has the highest average in the 11th grade in the field of mathematics at Koç High School.
His great interest in the economy started while he was studying at Koç High School. He spent all his free time in high school, reading books and articles about economics and following the markets. After deciding to pursue his undergraduate education in his field of interest, he applied to the University of Chicago and he was accepted. He completed the four-year undergraduate program of the University of Chicago with honors in three years.
After his graduation, he got his master's degree in Political Economy from London School of Economics. During his master's degree in London, he served as chairman of the LSE Turkish Society. After receiving his diploma, he briefly worked on nuclear energy companies in Deutsche Bank's London office. He returned to Istanbul in 2014. He completed his undergraduate and graduate education in two educational institutions that are accepted as the best in the world. After returning to Turkey, he worked as Chief Operating Officer at BLUTV. He also worked in companies such as McKinsey & Company, and received proposals to advise senior politicians on economic advice.
In November 2018, together with his sister Seher Sena Öktem, he founded the domestic and national Marti Teknoloji company in the micro mobility sector.
