A New York City native and graduate from the illustrious Hofstra University, Trevor is a natural born marketer who has successfully launched over a dozen new media technology products and research tools to the international market for a number of Fortune 500 brands.
Starting at Morgan Stanley as a Marketing Intern, Trevor’s career path followed a steep trajectory that has seen him hold senior leadership positions as the Marketing Manager and Project Leader for a number of global industry leaders. At Kantar and TNS – both divisions of WPP which is the world’s largest media and marketing company – Trevor headed up the Kantar video brand before being recruited to lead the international expansions efforts at global insight firm, Gerson Lehman Group, followed by a tenure as Director of Marketing at the high profile, technology firm Moveline.
With a proven record which demonstrates how a creative approach that combines media technology and digital research can establish a brand and gain market share; Trevor felt it was time to expand his horizons and seek new opportunities. Subsequently he left the relatively saturated startup market in the USA to make his mark in the unchartered territory that the African startup landscape presents.
Recently appointed as the Managing Director and Head of Commercialisation at Springleap, Trevor calls upon his invaluable experience at the frontline of media-tech startups to ensure the growth of the company’s staff complement, revenue stream, and product basket as Springleap continues to establish its presence throughout Africa and the Middle East.
Ensuring that he stays true to his course in a personal and professional capacity, Trevor is motivated by the wise words from one of his favourite authors, Gabriel Garcia Marquez; “It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old, they grow old because they stop pursuing dreams.”
