Mike Quinn is Group CEO of Zoona, a purpose-driven African FinTech business. Mike has helped Zoona raise $23 million (R300 million) in venture capital and grow an active customer base of 1.5 million consumers and 1,500 agents in 3 countries. Zoona has processed over $1.2 billion in transactions. Headquartered in Mauritius, Zoona has support offices in South Africa, and operations in Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. Zoona helps communities thrive by providing a mobile payment platform that creates entrepreneurs. Zoona was selected by the Nike Foundation and Unreasonable Institute as one of the top start-ups in the world helping girls get out of poverty. Mike holds an MBA with distinction from Oxford University, where he was a Skoll Scholar for Social Entrepreneurship. He also has an MSc in Management Development from London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of British Columbia. Mike grew up in Canada and his entrepreneurial journey started as a volunteer in Ghana and Zambia with Engineers Without Borders Canada.
