About this event

May is female founders month for Startup Grind globally. In Joburg we are proud to host Ramona Kasavan founder and CEO of MimiWomen, a sanitary pads company that has distributed in excess of 650,000 pads in 7 provinces, keeping 25,000 girls in school. She is a social entrepreneur and media personality who is strongly outspoken about women empowerment. She runs an in-house enterprise development programme, Pads and Cents, that allows women to earn a commission on pads sold. MimiWomen is now in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and DRC.

Ramona holds a triple major in Media, Marketing and Communications and an honours degree in Marketing Strategy. Join us as Ramona lets us in on the journey from ideation to success and how her venture keeps supporting young female entrepreneurs.
