Akbar Arghandiwal is a serial entrepreneur, a proven experienced leader, a coach and mentors to many young entrepreneurs and executives in Afghanistan and in the region. He owns and manages Synergy Solutions Group of companies that include Synergy Solutions, Setara Dry Fruits & Nuts, Elham Markets, Handyman, and APCA.

Prior to Synergy Group, Akbar was CEO of a number of logistics, security, ICT and Transport companies in Afghanistan. In the United states where Akbar grew up, he studied computer sciences and worked various companies such as Intuit Software, Oxus International, NF Communication to name a few. He married to his wife Sara and they have 3 children.

In 2018, and after a few years of delay, Akbar started his newest venture in Afghanistan Setara Dry Fruits & Nuts Processing Plant in Badam Bagh Kabul. In this new venture Synergy Solution is a partner with AKFED And IPS middle.

Apart from the business interest, Mr. Akbar is also involved in social activities which can enhance the business environment, as part of such activities, Mr. Akbar is a board member of trustees of the National IT Professional Association of Afghanistan (NITPAA) and a founding member of Startups & Emerging Entrepreneurs Network (SEEN).
