In the month of March which is time for the celebration of international women's day; Startup Grind Afghanistan recognizes the value and contribution of Afghan women in both economy and social life of Afghanistan by hosting a role model Afghan women Miss. Fakhria Ibrahimi Momtaz for a fireside chat.
Fakhria Ibrahimi Momtaz a social and cultural activist, filmmaker, photographer, yoga trainer, winner of Bibi Khadija and Success Woman awards and finally a successful businesswoman; is one of the inspiring women in the business community of Afghanistan whose fame base has crossed Afghanistan borders.
Through her professional career, Miss. Fakhria has worked with Funder’s Network for Afghan Women and Canadian Women for Women of Afghanistan. She has produced three documentary films Left Hand, Treasure, and Stars. She has attended an international calendar photo exhibition in the USA, two of her photographs have been published in Canadian magazine (HERIZONS) and two of her photographs in “State of the World’s Minorities and Indigenous Peoples 2011” book.
Miss Fakhria has founded Momtaz Host, an Internet services company and in 2017 she founded The Momtaz Yoga Center the first Yoga Center in Afghanistan. In 2015 and 2017 respectively she has received Bibi Khadija and Success Women awards. In 2018, Fakhria received the Seeds of Change Award at International Women’s Day for best female businessperson by The Women’s Center AUAF. She has joined Peace through Business and International Visitor Leadership Program in USA.
