Sara Swearingen, Junior Achievement of Kansas City and Malikah Fard-Allah, Startland Education will share the programs and resources offered youth Entrepreneurs in the Kansas City metropolitan region. We talk highlights and achievements of their programs and how youth and their parents can participate. We'll also discuss our upcoming GEWCK 2022 session on November 16, 2022 where we'll be bringing together local youth organizations that support youth entrepreneurs with programs, resources, mentoring and so much more.

Sara Swearingen is the Volunteer Manager for Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City. She started as a volunteer in 2017. She was so impacted by the mission that she got a job with the organization in 2019. Before Junior Achievement, she worked in Accounting, Sales, and PreK Education for various companies in KC. For the last four years, Malikah Fard-Allah taught at Lee A. Tolbert Community Academy as a middle school ELA teacher. She received her start in Kansas City’s education sector through Teach for America. Malikah is looking forward to leveraging her background as an educator, as she steps into her role as Startland’s Youth Program Specialist. She is eager to bring her passion for student-centered learning and practices to the team, in hopes of aiding young people in transforming their ambitions to actualization.
