About this event

To mark the Startup Grind Mentorship Month, we are excited to host Rob Rickard on a fireside chat where he will be sharing his entrepreneurship journey in Rwanda while running and mentoring software startups as part of his software startup accelerator, The Rwanda Build Program.

Rob Rickard, Director and Founder of the Rwanda Build Program, is an entrepreneur, consultant, speaker, and mentor for tech start-ups in Rwanda for the last 7 years. The Rwanda Build Program (RWBuild) is a startup accelerator for software startups in Kigali with the overall goal of the program to elevate the culture of building and publishing software with a business model in Rwanda. Rob also serves as a mentor at kLab and is an owner of an American tech consulting company, Common World Inc.

Why attend?

Learn what it takes to run software teams in Rwanda with a focus on startups. Also, how to best manage and mentor software teams while working remotely, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown. Learn from a speaker with global software and entreprenuership experience, and who is building multiple tech based products/services in Rwanda. Most importantly - get to connect with the Kigali community of entrepreneurs, investors and founders working hard to make the world a better place.

If you're new to the city, our events are a great opportunity to meet in person experts within the local ecosystem.
