Clarissa Carsten’s name has become synonymous with style, elegance, creativity and vision. It is no wonder that she was described by the late Minister Dr Matsepe-Casaburri as “the woman with the golden hands”. Her initiatives have demonstrated lasting results and impacted thousands of individuals in her community. She inspires us all through her pride in her heritage. Her influence and hard work has left a lasting, sustainable legacy with everyone she has ever come into contact with. She has truly inspired many to become more involved in the community, reach out to those who are not as privileged as ourselves, and share our talents with those around us in order to make a positive change in our community and our world. Ms Carsten has also recently been appointed to manage the Restaurant component of the McGregor Museum as well as The Platfontein Lodge for the CPA. Her huge interest in this industry led her interest and acquisition of a farm outside Springbok that consist of a guest house and venue facilities for events. She is the founder and one of the managing directors of International Convention Solution (ICS) that managed the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre (MSCC), since opening doors in Kimberley in February 2012. Managing the centre as well as executing events at the centre has been the order of the day for the past 7 years. She is also a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO). Today, she presides over a few award winning companies built from experience, dedication and her natural talent for transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
