Paul Hanworth has been the Chief Operating Officer of Pan-Jamaican Investment Trust Limited (Pan Jam), an investment and real estate company publicly-traded on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, for 2 years, prior to which he served as their Chief Financial Officer for 6 years.
He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the ICD Group, one of Jamaica’s largest conglomerates, for 5 years. After leaving ICD in 2004, he established Jamaica’s first fine wine import and distribution business which he sold in 2012.
Paul previously spent 9 years working in various financial positions in the United States and South Africa at Diageo, one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies in the world.
He started his career and spent 14 years at KPMG, moving to the USA after qualifying in England as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. He holds membership of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA). His academic qualifications include both Bachelors (B.A.) and Masters (M.A.) degrees in Classics from Cambridge University’s Sidney Sussex College (1975 & 1979) and a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic (1991).
He serves on a number of Boards of Directors, including those of Pan Jam, Sagicor Group Jamaica, Hardware & Lumber, Mavis Bank Coffee Factory, Chukka Caribbean Adventures, Rainforest Seafoods, and British Caribbean Insurance Company.
Paul is an active road cyclist and an avid follower of English football.
