Cheryl Yeoh is a resourceful and versatile entrepreneur. Having spent the last 12 years in the US (including a significant number of years in the Silicon Valley), she has returned to Malaysia to serve a bigger national agenda.
Cheryl is the newly appointed CEO of the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC). Located in Cyberjaya, MaGIC was established to energize and enhance the startup ecosystem in Malaysia. MaGIC is a community builder - creating synergy through collaboration with startups, partner agencies and investors, as well as inspiring the community with startup success stories.
Prior to her appointment as CEO of MaGIC, Cheryl co-founded CityPockets, a digital wallet and secondary marketplace for daily deals; and later Reclip. It, which was acquired by Walmart Labs in 2013. Reclip. It is a personalized shopping list application that matches personal shopping list with digital coupons and weekly specials from top retailers such as Walmart, Macy's, Walgreens, Target and CVS. Reclip. It was selected as "Best of the Web 2012" by Instyle Magazine and received funding from 500Startups, Great Oaks VC and angel investors in Silicon Valley & New York.
Cheryl was named the “Top 44 Female Founders Every Entrepreneur Should Know” by Mashable, “Top 10 Women in Digital” by L'Oreal, and was selected as one of 10 Global Women Ambassadors to hike Mt Kilimanjaro on a charity fundraiser. Passionate about helping other entrepreneurs, she mentors and shares her knowledge at the Founder Institute, the Lean Startup Machine Weekend, as well as various speaking platforms.
