Sarah runs the rapidly expanding Google Campus program that will soon open also in Madrid, Sao Paulo, Seoul and Warsaw. She was named top 10 influencer by Brandwatch, established UK's first baby-friendly startup school, called Campus for Mums and is UK's leading community expert.
In 2012, Google designed Campus London to equip entrepreneurs with resources they need on their quest to change the world. The mission is to create an environment that encourages innovation through collaboration, mentorship, and networking. With speedy wifi, a café, frequent networking and speaking events, and coworking space, Campus is seven floors dedicated to startup success. Campus is now expanding into other countries across Europe, Asia and south America.
Before heading up Campus, Sarah managed a global team of community managers around Google Maps, inspiring local experts to contribute their knowledge to the review platform, and was a 20% volunteer for Campus, establishing baby-friendly startup school Campus for Mums in the UK. Prior to Google, she worked for European review site Qype, now acquired by Yelp, consulted on social media for Nokia and Land Rover, amongst others, and was a features journalist for UK magazines and newspapers, including the Guardian and Glamour.
Sarah kindly agreed to talk to us about the startup world from the perspective of Google Campus, its mission and key learnings of how to best help startups. She is a big supporter of female entrepreneurship and expert community builder. Don't miss it and join us and meet Sarah in person.
