We invited the co-founder of Shazam, Dhiraj Mukherjee to share the Shazam story from its humble beginnings to the IPO. Dhiraj Mukherjee is one of the cofounders of the music identifying service, Shazam. He completed his Master's at Stanford University in 1997 and currently serves as the Head of Banking Innovation for Virgin Money in the United Kingdom. Prior to starting Shazam, Dhiraj worked in consulting for Bain & Company and as a Project Manager for Viant Corp. Most importantly we will talk about serendipity and how Dhiraj ended up getting involved with Carl Thomas and MiPic. It's an incredible story. Carl Thomas is the founder and CEO of miPic, a custom print platform and app for artists, photographers and designers to turn their Likes into Cash by selling their pics as awesome print and lifestyle products. Prior to founding miPic, Carl received RIBA Chartered Architect status in 2013 at PRP Architects in London following completion of his Masters in Architecture at the University of Liverpool. miPic won Virgin Voom’s Pitch to Rich in 2014 pitching to Sir Richard Branson before funding the company through Crowdfunding and Venture Capital investment.
