Meet Akhil

Akhil has over 10 years of experience as a marketing and e-commerce professional in large organizations as well as with startups. He is currently leading his venture, Xena Intelligence, through an interesting journey of scaling up from a consulting firm to a technology company. Launched during the pandemic, Xena is on a mission to bring more data-driven decisions to small businesses’ e-commerce efforts. The optimization efforts help businesses better understand pay-per-click ad campaigns and how their marketing is driving businesses and sales. This is particularly important as marketing on popular sites like Amazon, Walmart, Facebook, and Instagram has become more important…and more expensive…for brands and individual sellers. A native of the southern Indian city of Kochi, Akhil arrived in the U.S. via the Boston area, after he had earned his MBA in entrepreneurship at Babson College through its Global Entrepreneur-In-Residence program. While at Babson, Akhil worked as a consultant for several e-commerce companies, which exposed him to the pain point of sellers having to try to make sense of a flood of numbers and statistics relating to ad campaigns. Xena has raised money from Bluegrass Angels, Keyhorse Capital, Render Capital and others. Akhil was selected to the Vogt Awards accelerator and Techstars NYC, both in 2022.
