Meet Corey

Corey Wood, co-founder, and CEO of Elixir Kombucha, is a Louisville, Kentucky native with a background as an ICU nurse. Together with his wife, Danielle - who also has a background in healthcare - they began homebrewing kombucha in 2013 to help solve a pain point for Corey's cousin's gut health issues. Through good fortune, a business opportunity presented itself and they launched Elixir in 2016. Now, Elixir is the best-selling local-based kombucha in Whole Foods Midwest and has attracted the attention of two national distributors.

They are expanding their production and team in 2023 and are currently crowdfunding through Wefunder. Along with running Elixir, Corey also serves on the Board of Directors for Kombucha Brewers International, a trade association tasked with the protection and promotion of commercial kombucha brewers around the world.
