[Please, note this event will be conducted in Spanish]
Startup Grind is the world’s largest community of startups, founders, innovators, and creators. We host monthly events in more than 600 cities and 125 countries featuring successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors who share personal stories and lessons learned on the road to building great companies. The Startup Grind community in Madrid has been present since 2014 and has more than 3700 members.
For this event, we have the pleasure to host Luis Martin Cabiedes, General Partner at Cabiedes & Partners and senior lecturer at IESE University, to conduct an "Ask me Anything" session to answer any questions from the audience and talk about what he's currently looking for as a VC, his view on the state Spanish innovation ecosytem and what's to come in the next months.
Most likely, for those involved in the Spanish Innovation scene, Luis Martín Cabiedes barely needs an introduction, but just in case, Luis Martín Cabiedes holds a degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an MBA from IESE, and a Financial Analyst Charter from CFA Institute. In 1989, he joined the Europa Press Group, where he was co-president for 12 years. In 1998, he started investing in early-stage tech startups. He initially operated as a business angel and then launched his own venture capital fund (Cabiedes and Partners) in 2009. He has invested in more than one hundred and twenty startups and ventures, including Ole, Privalia, Trovit, BlaBlaCar, Indexa Capital and Repli SL.
Luis Martín Cabiedes is Senior lecturer at IESE where he teaches “Entrepreneurship” and “Entrepreneurial Finance.”
