Mr TK Mogatusi describe himself as entrepreneur, a leader, innovator, a learner and most of all a contributor.
My name is Retshegofetse Prince Moeng and I was born and breed in the North West Province. My entrepreneurial and leadership journey started in high school. When I was in grade 9 I started selling sweets, employing 3 people. I later grew my business and became a wholesaler for everyone that sold sweets. Due to my activism I was later elected to the LRC (Learners Representative Council) and Head boy of the Hostel at Tiger Kloof Educational Institute.
I studied Bachelor of Accounting at the University of Johannesburg and in my first year I was appointed to be part of the First Years Council for the CA stream students. The following year I joined the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) as a secretary and later that year I was elected as Chairperson of the UJ branch. I simultaneously started my NPO called Young King, which aims at uplifting young individuals to create a better future for themselves, as being a highlight in my life and leadership journey. Through this NPO, I have been able to help erect a library in a primary school in the North West Province called Thuto Boswa. Through this initiative, there have been various activities such as reading competitions, spelling bees, and leadership mentorship, which the learners are engaged in and they are helped with their studies. I started my first company in 2015 called African Royal Investments which has five major strategic divisions/goals which are Media and Communication; Advisory and Training; Financial Services; Property, Energy and Transport; and Manufacturing.
I joined SAGE Pastel in 2015 to train as a SAGE Evolution Expert Professional and SAGE One Advisor. In 2016 I joined their business Partner Omni Africa as a SAGE Evolution Junior Consultant specializing in ERP installations. I later joined Dlamini Attorneys as a Bookkeeper. At age 22 I started Moeng Winery in my mother’s caravan in the North West. Moeng Winery is a premium wine making company established to cater for the ambitious professional/individual who want to identify with a wine brand that communicates success, achievement, ambition, vision, and greatness. It’s crafted for those who follow their dreams and challenge the status quo by standing out. The company sources its grapes from the best farms across South Africa and internationally, allowing the winery produce an exciting yet diverse set wines.
