Born in Bogotá and currently based in Medellín, Colombia. Founded a company called Hi Mom (2012), and created a successful and award winning App called Typic. With a background experience on graphic design and advertising, Margarita currently works as Design Director for Typic. Typic was released on late 2012 and today, after 3 years of bootstrapped work, it has reached over 3 million downloads worldwide. It was created by 3 friends in Colombia, with backgrounds on advertising, graphic design and engineering. Typic turns photos into spectacular design pieces in only a few steps. It’s like having a graphic designer in your pocket! Add filters and effects, captions and design elements, and even your own logo (very handy when used as an advertising tool). It’s a simple app with an intuitive user interface that can create impeccable results. Typic was recently featured as one of Apple’s Best of 2014. Typic has been very well received by users all over the world and has ranked #1 in 78 countries in the Photo & Video category in the AppStore.
