Adam Schwab is an award-winning entrepreneur, and has built Luxury Escapes into one of Australia’s most successful and loved businesses in just six years. Luxury Escapes is expected to turn over almost $500 million in 2020 and has more than 230 team members across four continents.

Adam started life as a corporate lawyer specialising in mergers & acquisitions at one of Australia’s largest legal firms before becoming a founding director of privately-owned corporate accommodation and services group, Living Corporate Apartments.

In 2010, Adam founded what would become Luxury Escapes with school friend, Jeremy Same.

Luxury Escapes: Luxury Escapes was named the fastest growing company in Australia by BRW in 2013 and by the Australian Financial Review in 2017. It was also ranked #1 in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 while Adam was the Young CEO of the Year in 2015 and was nominated for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 (Southern Region). Adam has been on the BRW Young Rich list since 2014 and in 2015 and was named a Young Business Leader 2015 by CPA.

Adam is a ls a prolific angel investor, and is the Executive Chairman of Bookwell and a Non-Executive Director of Bluethumb.com.au, Australia’s largest online art seller.

Since 2004, Adam has been a financial journalist and business commentator specialising in corporate governance, economics and start-ups for BRW and Crikey.

Adam has been a regular commentator on Business View and the Perrett Report on Sky Business and has appeared on Today Tonight and Channel Seven News nationally.

Adam released the Amazon (microeconomics) bestseller, Pigs at the Trough: Lessons from Australia’s Decade of Corporate Greed, published by John Wiley & Sons.

Adam has been a director of the Myeloma Foundation of Australia since 2010, is on the investment committee at the Save the Children Investment Fund and is a director of Private Media (published of Smart Company and Crikey).

Adam has run two Melbourne Marathons completely barefoot to raise funds for the Myeloma foundation.
