Kim Heathcott is the owner/CEO of Clarion Security, a technologically based provider of security guards in the Memphis area. She started the company in April, 2010 and Clarion Security is currently one of the largest women-owned businesses in the Memphis mid-south region.
Ms. Heathcott holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Economics, with a minor in Business Administration. Additionally, she earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University through its Executive MBA program as the youngest applicant ever accepted in its prestigious top-tier business executive program. Ms. Heathcott has an 18-year financial background in corporate and asset-based lending, with an emphasis on fraud auditing and control investigations. Before founding Clarion Security, Ms. Heathcott opened a Memphis satellite stand-alone office for The CIT Group and developed more than $75 million in new business in five years with no prior name recognition in the Mid-South area before opening the office. In June of 2013 Ms. Heathcott was named President of the Memphis Chapter of The National Association of Woman Owned Business (NAWBO). She is a board member of the supplier diversity council of MLG&W and the Greater Memphis Chamber. In July of 2013 Ms. Heathcott was named a "Superwoman in Business" by Memphis Business Journal.
