About this event

You don't want to miss Startup Grind in April. Our featured speaker, Taylor Berger, will be interviewed by Jeremy Park of the Lipscomb and Pitts Breakfast Club.  We are excited to have both guys join the Startup Grind Memphis roster. Taylor Berger graduated from Christian Brothers High School, Rhodes College, University of Memphis Law School and the University of Washington Tax Law Masters Program. After practicing tax and estate planning law for two years, Taylor launched his entrepreneurial career with Memphis' first frozen yogurt shop, Yolo. YoLo began with two frozen yogurt shops, expanded into gelato and bakery production, and has since expanded through more locations and licensing deals. Following the the success of YoLo, Taylor founded Chiwawa, a restaurant serving Mexican and American street food, and Tamp & Tap, a premium coffee bar. He also developed Bedrock Foods, Memphis' only source for prepared paleo meals and snacks, and acquired manufacturing company Memphis Contract Furniture. He is currently developing additional restaurant concepts Truck Stop and Bounty on Broad. Taylor founded the non-profit business alliance Memphis Food Truck Association and the non-profit initiative Make Memphis! to bring together people in Memphis with common goals. He serves on the board for Memphis Restaurant Association, Playback Memphis, and Knowledge Quest. He also serves as a mentor at Start Co., a local supporter of early stage startups.
