About this event

Cybersecurity is the collected set of technologies, processes, and procedures organizations use to protect their computing environments from damage and unauthorized data access perpetrated by cybercriminals or malicious insiders. Using strong passwords, updating your software, thinking before you click on suspicious links, and turning on multi-factor authentication are the basics of what we call “cyber hygiene” and will drastically improve your online safety.

Victor K. Jarlwood Jr is a seasoned Cyber Security Professional with an extensive background spanning over 6 years in the ever-evolving realm of digital security. Mr. Jarlwood is the Cyber Tech at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication. He has the passion for safeguarding digital landscapes has been fortified by my hands-on experience and an array of top-tier certifications and collaborations.

He has had the privilege to collaborate with diverse teams, both within Liberia, ECOWAS, AU, USA and beyond the tech realm, fostering a holistic understanding of security needs and implementing tailored strategies that align with overarching organizational goals. From conducting comprehensive risk assessments to architecting multi-layered defense systems. He brings to his team a versatile skill set that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.

Beyond his technical aptitude, He’s a fervent advocate for cybersecurity awareness and education in Liberia. He firmly believes that knowledge-sharing is key to staying one step ahead of malicious actors. He has been invited as a speaker to numerous industry conferences, Tech Trainings and have contributed thought leadership articles to reputable publications.
