Manolo Diaz, who taught himself how to write Flash applications at age 15, founded Yogome in 2009 to give kids a fun and effective learning tool. Yogome develops educational tablet and mobile games to help kids ages 4-10 learn in a fun way through technology. The multi-lingual games are among the top 10 in the Apple App Store’s education category in the United States and China, and became #1 in Taiwan and Indonesia. Yogome’s five games have reached 225,000 free downloads to date with sustained monthly growth rates of around 30%. Its conversion rate from free to paid users is 3.2%, more than three times the industry standard. Manolo has begun development on a monetized, multi-game educational platform with cross-selling opportunities. The company aspires to become a global kids’ brand and to open sales channels in new markets and schools, as well as introducing in-app purchases to boost revenues.
