Karun is a Kenyan R&B singer/songwriter with an eclectic ear, and a fresh sound this side of the continent. Karun’s latest releases ‘Make Believe’, ‘High’, ‘Fools paradise’ and ‘Roses’ ft Ukweli made waves with the latter gaining streaming plays of nearly 500,000 and counting. Karun is no new comer to the Pan-African Music industry. Formally known as Miss Karun of the BET nominated Hip-hop group Camp Mulla, she has numerous Award nominations and performances under her belt. From the MOBO’S UK to the MTV AMA’S hosted in Jo’burg SA and more. After Camp Mulla dissolved in 2013 she proceeded to release her Debut Album ‘Sun & Moon’ with a weekly vlog leading up to the project release dubbed 'The Lady Bug Project'. She then proceeded to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. During that time she Majored in Electronic Music Production and Design, and joined a pop a cappella group named Kepoambe, while also making time to perform at festivals like Madaraka Festival in Seattle, and SXSW in Austin Texas and as part of the alternative electro-soul collective Cosmic Homies.
