Startup Grind hosts Kanini Mutooni (MyAzimia Ltd)

Kanini is a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum 2014. She is founder and CEO myAzimia.org, providing tech and consulting solutions to the Peer to Peer lending sector. She also founded www.inuka.org an online micro-finance protal that matches female owned businesses in Africa with social investors in Europe.

About this event

Kanini Mutooni, Young Global Leader at the 2014 World Economic Forum, is a chartered accountant who had spent her entire working life in the US and UK in the Risk Management and banking sector. Her career spans 3 continents over the last 12 years. She discovered microfinance during the financial crisis and decided that this truly was the “new good face of banking”. She then founded myAzimia.org which provides technology and consulting solutions to the Peer to Peer lending sector. She also founded www.inuka.org which is an online microfinance portal dedicated to matching female owned businesses in Africa with social investors in Europe who provide them with loan capital. Kanini has had the fantastic honor of being nominated and shortlisted for two global awards in 2010: The Barclays Woman of the City Award, and the Shell 2010 UK Woman of the year Award.
