Munyutu is co-founder Umati Capital, Rupu and former General Manager at Ringier Kenya. He is passionate about Pro Evolution Soccer and sharing lessons learnt along his entrepreneurial journey.

About this event

Munyutu, in conjunction with Swiss digital media giant Ringier, co-founded Kenya’s well-known Internet company, Rupu, which was acknowledged as one of Africa’s top tech startups by Forbes Africa in 2012. For 3 years, Munyutu held the role of General Manager at Ringier Kenya responsible for country operations across their various digital platforms. Prior to joining Ringier, Munyutu worked for Accenture – UK, where he undertook long-term client engagements for HSBC and British Telecom. Prior to Accenture, he was part of the IT management of the Williams F1 team. Munyutu’s experience as a tech-entrepreneur was instrumental in developing his interest in addressing the fundamental issues around the availability of capital for SME ventures. Achievements: BSc Information Systems, Honours (Brunel University, UK)
