Neeraj Batra is a seasoned investment banker and a serial entrepreneur. He is the founder of Infinity
Business School (Inbuss), Great Banyan Art Company and Startup Equity Partners (STEP).
An alumnus of Shriram college of Commerce, Delhi University and Indian Institute of Management,
Ahmedabad, Neeraj started his corporate career with Bank of America in the Treasury & Investment
Banking Department. By 1991, he was heading the department and had transformed it into the most
profitable division of the bank. For this, he was awarded the Chief Executive Officer's Eagle pin, the
highest non monetary Award of the bank.
All of his corporate assignments after this were purely intrapreneurial in nature. In 1991, India's largest
shipping company, Great Eastern Shipping, hired him to set up their investments company - Prime
Securities. In 1993, he founded Hinduja Finance Corporation Ltd, an Investment Boutique controlled by
the Hinduja group. Here, he successfully established the Private Equity and Corporate Finance/Merchant
Banking outfits for the groups, managed the AMAS Group, Geneva and went on to be a part of the
team that conceptualized IndusInd Bank. In a short span, he catapulted Hinduja Finance to being one
of the top investment banks in India. He left his role as President Hinduja Finance in 1998 to start his
entrepreneurial journey.
In 2000, he founded Infinity Business School. For over 13 years now, Infinity has been offering
Management programs with a focus on small batch sizes, contemporary pedagogy and personalized
attention. At Infinity, he has designed and delivers several proprietary programs around Personality &
Evolution, Globonomics and Wealth Management, which have been appreciated across industry and
academia. He has been invited by several leading institutes, including FMS, Delhi to deliver some of
these modules.
In 2004, Neeraj and his wife Radhika founded Great Banyan Art Company, an online gallery promoting
Indian artworks. Today, Great Banyan is a collection of art works from leading modernist, progressive
and contemporary Indian artists that have been featured in some of the most prestigious art auction
around the globe.
Early this year, Neeraj joined hands with Gunit Chadha, a member Executive Board & Co-CEO Asia
Pacific for Deutsche Bank, to set Startup Equity Partners (STEP). STEP is a boutique angel investment
and consulting firm for startups & SMEs. With STEP, they aim at providing seed capital, management
bandwidth and strategic guidance to promising startups & growing SMEs.
