About the Programme
Northumbria University's Entrepreneurship BA course combines study of entrepreneurial theory with practical learning and problem-solving. Students get the opportunity to explore different aspects of entrepreneurship, with a pathway to fully start up and create their own company!
The Entrepreneurship course is covered by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation for Newcastle Business School.
More information can be found on the Northumbria University website
Each year the Entrepreneurship BA programme at Northumbria University starts with a bang! The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp brings together students from each year of the degree programme for an intensive week of events, workshops, presentations and challenges to help kick-start entrepreneurial activity for the upcoming academic year.
→ Design Thinking workshop
Design thinking is an iterative process in which you seek to understand your users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions which you can prototype and test. The overall goal is to identify alternative strategies and solutions that are not instantly apparent with your initial level of understanding.
→ Entrepreneur Mastermind
The purpose of a mastermind is to gather like-minded people about a specific topic and come up with innovative solutions to solve the challenge together. Members of the group provide each other with their collective input, experience, support and accountability.
Groups will be working on a real business challenge from two startup companies: Safer Date and The AutoRing

I founded Safer Date in 2020. Safer Date is the safest online dating platform in the world right now. It is the ONLY online dating platform which prevents criminals from joining.
I created Safer Date following the horrific abuse I suffered at the hands of a man I met online. My goal is to revolutionise online dating to make it safer for everyone by protecting people from online predators like my attacker. I also want to create my own Foundation to help victims of domestic abuse.
Helping people and solving problems are and always have been my key drivers.
For the past 15 months I have been developing a new early warning detection system for vehicles in the aftermarket sector.
