Lane Rankin is the Founder and CEO of Illuminate Education, the successful educational technology. Lane’s leadership has been a driving force in Illuminate’s explosive growth from a six-person, two-client startup to the EdTech powerhouse it is today—with its innovative array of products empowering educators across the nation, and impacting over 4.5 million students in 39 states (with a 99.3% client retention rate). Early on Lane recognized the transformative power of technology in the classroom—he was often found tinkering with devices and entering data into his fancy Apple Newton™. Indeed, it was this realization that led to the eventual formation of the groundbreaking DataDirector software, and the founding of Illuminate Education in 2009.
