Early on Lane recognized the transformative power of technology in the classroom—he was often found tinkering with devices and entering data into his fancy Apple Newton™. Indeed, it was this realization that led to the eventual formation of the groundbreaking DataDirector software, and the founding of Illuminate Education in 2009.
