Alexandra began ALTR during her final semester of her MBA program at UCF. She noticed the lack in versatility surrounding the button - an apparel element found in nearly everyone's closet. With only a semester left, she decided to test the viability of ALTR's Button Covers by competing in the University's Business Plan Competition. As the only non-tech and woman-owned company, Alex was ecstatic to win 1st Place and the money necessary to get started.
Since then, Alex has helped grow ALTR into an on-demand Custom Button Cover company - making everything to-order that very same day directly from ALTR's Orlando-based facility. ALTR also recently received it's first patent in January and partnered with Zazzle.com as their official Button Cover maker. ALTR provides Button Covers that are affordable, versatile and customizable. By sliding the cover over your garment's existing button, you can ALTR your apparel into custom gear.
Life was made to ALTR one button at a time.
