Katherine Yacko is a seasoned IT leader and innovator focused on enterprise-level emerging technology strategy, adoption and transformation. Katherine joined Aetna's Technology Research & Innovation team in 2011, developing deep expertise and enterprise strategy in the emerging tech domains of AI/Cognitive, Immersive Technologies, Behavioral and Advanced Analytics, Blockchain, and Internet of Things (IoT). Katherine contributions to Aetna's Technology Foundation Architecture and the Digital Transformation Strategy, have established Aetna as a leader in the industry.
Katherine took on the role of Senior Director of Technology Innovation, when CVS Health acquired Aetna, and currently manages the tech-enabled innovation pipeline for CVS Health, inspiring business transformation through vanguard thinking, exploration, and demonstration of the Art of the Possible. Actively envisioning and inspiring others to find unique, innovative combinations of emerging and existing technologies that will create a new and better reality in Healthcare. Katherine partners with university and vendor research labs as well as start-up communities to bring ground-breaking tech and novel ideas to CVS Health's innovation pipeline.
With 30+ years' experience in healthcare IT, Katherine has led numerous strategic initiatives, consistently delivering leadership, value, transformation and cultural change in a complex environment. Katherine's curiosity, passion for learning, and unconventional style has led her to various roles, forging her own path, while supporting and advising business leaders across numerous domains along the way. She is an innovation activist and inspirational leader, emboldening others to think and act outside the box, to disrupt, reinvent, and achieve.
Katherine graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and holds a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.
