LumirAbdixhiku is the executive Director of Riinvest Institute; the oldest and largest think-tank institution in Kosovo; where he leads a team of 25 researchers. He joined Riinvest in 2005 and was since then engaged in several research, advocacy and developing projects in Kosovo and abroad. After completing graduate studies in University of Prishtina, Lumir in 2006 obtained a Master Degree from Staffordshire University in UK in the field of ‘Tax Morale’. In 2013 he was awarded by Staffordshire University in UK with a title “PhD in Economics”, after four years of research in the field of ‘Determinants of Business Tax Evasion in Transition Economies’. Since 2007 Lumir is also a lecturer of Microeconomics at Riinvest College in Prishtina. Part of public advocacy, since 2011 Lumir holds a regular weekly column on kosovan most prominent daily newspaper: “KohaDitore”. At present, he is also a Board Member of Kosovo Foundation for Open Society.
